LinkedIn releases its new Stories features available to users. LinkedIn says that the Story function is currently available in Brazil, while it’s also added new settings and details in the main LinkedIn app as it gets ready for the wider launch of the tool world wide.
Same like Facebook and Instagram stories, LinkedIn Stories bar appears along the top of the screen, and various stickers and tools available to beautify the Stories frames. More detail on Stories can be accessed within the LinkedIn overview, and FAQ documentation.
Some relevant features:
- Stories creation will only be available on mobile at launch period
- Users can control what profile information they display in a Stories viewer list via their settings
- Users can share their Story via message directly with another LinkedIn member
- Users will also be able to share other people’s Stories via personal message
- Stories viewers can message the Story creator direct from a Stories frame though users cannot send messages to company pages from Stories.
- The maximum length of a video in a Story is limited to 20 seconds
- Stories will last for 24 hours, but users can save individual Stories frames
Although It’s been announced that Stories would be first rolled out to users in Brazil it is possible that not all Brazilian users have access to the option as yet, but the accessibility is being expanded over time.
The newly released Stories feature will provide another option for LinkedIn to further boost the ‘record levels of engagement’ that it’s currently experiencing.
