Pinterest launched a new feature for conducting visual research for shoppable pins matching their images or photos.
This is possible through a ‘shop’ tab in search results full of shoppable pins by enhancing Pinterest’s Lens camera search functionality.
Users can take a picture of a specific item that they wish to buy and search with the lens built into the Pinterest app for shoppable pins. They can even upload an image or photo from their camera roll and then Pinterest will return a set of search results with similar-looking items. Previously also lens search results were possible however it was not necessarily linked to a shoppable pin.
With the newly released feature, people can easily locate the product shops with their pins.
